Popular Art in Bloom Event Returns In-Person to the Milwaukee Art Museum
Members get first chance to reserve tickets to see incredible floral installations inspired by works of art in the Museum’s collection.
Milwaukee, Wis. – February 18, 2022 – Visitors can once again welcome spring with a celebration of art and flowers at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Art in Bloom returns April 7-10, 2022, after a two-year hiatus. The popular event will feature nearly 30 art-inspired floral installations throughout the galleries.
“Art in Bloom signals that spring has arrived, and we’re thrilled this extraordinary event is returning,” said Courtney Kihslinger, Director of Stewardship and Events, Milwaukee Art Museum. “We look forward to showcasing the incredible interpretations of artworks in our galleries by our area’s most accomplished florists.”
“Art in Bloom is truly an unparalleled moment when visitors can experience the ephemeral beauty of floral design in harmony with selected works of art from the Museum’s collection,” said Marcelle Polednik, Donna and Donald Baumgartner Director, Milwaukee Art Museum. “We are excited to welcome guests to celebrate the beginning of spring during this one-of-a-kind activation of our galleries.”
Museum Members have the first opportunity to reserve tickets for the event and can make reservations at mam.org/bloom. Those who are not yet Members are encouraged to join in order to secure their tickets first and receive a lower admission price. Tickets will be available to the general public on March 3.
The Museum will welcome visitors while supporting a safe environment for everyone. Masks are required in the Museum for all staff and visitors, and event capacity will be limited to encourage social distancing. Timed tickets are required and must be reserved in advance. To welcome more guests, the Museum will offer expanded hours during the event weekend. Vaccinations will be required for ages five and up to enter the Kohl’s Art Studio.
