Milwaukee, WI – The Institute of Beauty and Wellness, and AVEDA institute, is hosting their annual breast cancer awareness beauty show on October 26, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. (CST) in support of Milwaukee-founded After Breast Cancer Diagnosis (ABCD) Organization.

Founded in 1999 by Milwaukee journalist, Melodie Wilson Oldenburg, ABCD supports those impacted from a breast cancer diagnosis through mentorship services provided by breast cancer survivors.

Due to health and safety concerns, the event will be held virtually. Ticket prices range from $10 to $100 and will serve as a donation for ABCD. Purchasing a ticket will automatically include a raffle entry for a gift basket from the Institute. Winners will be announced during the show.

Inspired by this year’s nature theme, students currently enrolled at both Institute of Beauty and Wellness Milwaukee and Madison locations will create various hair, makeup, and nail looks to be featured in the show. Attendees can expect a behind-the-scenes look at the students’ creative visions, along with an overview of the ABCD mission and their efforts in the fight against breast cancer.

President and Owner of the Institute of Beauty and Wellness, Susan Haise shared, “Cancer affects so many of us within the community. Partnering with ABCD allows working moms, grandmothers, and men and women within our community to get the support they need. It makes the overall process less scary by having someone to talk to who has been through it and is a survivor.”

Tickets can be purchased online through the Institute website at http://www.ibw.edu/. Companies and organizations that are interested in matching the Institute’s fundraising efforts are encouraged to contact Kayla White at marketing@ibw.edu.
