Milwaukee Building & Construction Trades Council Endorses Dimitrijevic for State Assembly
More Endorsements for Marina
The Milwaukee Building & Construction Trades Council represents 18 affiliated, local unions and thousands of working families in the Metro-Milwaukee area.
“It is an honor to have the support of the hard working men and women who have helped build our great city. After a decade of elected service standing up for working families in Milwaukee, I am proud to be the candidate in this race with the largest amount of labor endorsements.
We need to rebuild our economy from the middle class out, not trickle down. We can do this by attracting more family-supporting jobs to our state, investing in apprenticeship programs, and paying prevailing wages,” said Chairwoman Marina Dimitrijevic.Over the last few weeks, public educators across the state and Clean Wisconsin Action all agree that Marina is the clear choice to represent Assembly District 19. Marina Dimitrijevic’s campaign for the State Assembly has broad community support. She presently serves as Chairwoman of the County Board of Supervisors where she has been elected to represent Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood, located in Assembly District 19, for the past 10 years. This experience makes Marina the only candidate with a proven record of results, which is why a vast majority of Milwaukee’s organized labor and leaders such as Mayor Tom Barrett and Congresswoman Gwen Moore have all endorsed her candidacy.
Assembly District 19 includes Milwaukee’s Bay View, East Side, Downtown, Riverwest and Third Ward neighborhoods. The Democratic Primary Election is August 12th, 2014.
