Milwaukee Police Officer Involved in Shots Fired Incident
The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a shots fired incident that occurred on Sunday, December 6, 2020, at approximately 7:50 p.m., on the 4300 block of N. 51st Boulevard.
Uniformed Milwaukee Police Officers in a marked squad car observed a vehicle operating in a reckless manner in the area of N. 51st Boulevard and W. Capitol Drive.
The pursuit ended when the vehicle stopped on the 6000 block of W. Hampton Avenue. Two individuals from the suspect vehicle, a 31-year-old male and a 30-year-old female, were arrested without further incident.
The suspect’s firearm was recovered. No one was struck from the gunfire as a result of this incident.
The officer involved is a 24-year-old male with over 5 years of service. The officer was placed on administrative duty.
This is an ongoing investigation. The Criminal Investigation Bureau of the Milwaukee Police Department is investigating this incident.
Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the upcoming days.
