raSmith Welcomes Paul Ford as Structural Bridge Engineer

Ford brings to raSmith experience in designing and inspecting bridges for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and local government

BROOKFIELD, Wis. — Paul Ford has joined raSmith in Brookfield, Wisconsin, as a structural bridge engineer.

Ford brings nearly 15 years of experience as a structural engineer focused on designing and inspecting bridges for municipalities and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT). Ford has held leadership roles, leading bridge design and reconstruction projects. Additionally, Ford has inspected hundreds of bridges, culverts, retaining walls and sign structures throughout southeastern Wisconsin, and has provided in-depth fracture critical inspections for various types of steel truss bridges. He also developed and presented a statewide bridge construction inspection training course for new Wisconsin bridge inspectors. During his earlier career, Ford provided secondary roadway bridge design, plus inspection for thousands of bridge types throughout Iowa.

Ford holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a structures emphasis from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is a professional engineer licensed in Wisconsin, Montana and Nebraska.
