MILWAUKEE – Theo Lipscomb, current Chairman of the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors and candidate for Milwaukee County Executive, today announced the support of Congresswoman Gwen Moore:

Moore stated, “After carefully examining this race and all of the candidates, I’ve decided that Theo Lipscomb is without a doubt the best choice to be the next Milwaukee County Executive. We need someone who truly understands what’s at stake and how to address the issues at hand.

Lipscomb stated, “I am honored and humbled by the endorsement of Congresswoman Gwen Moore as I seek to become Milwaukee’s next County Executive. Congresswoman Moore is a tireless advocate for all of our neighbors in Milwaukee County and knows the many challenges we face – she has helped to secure tens of millions of dollars for the county transit system and our MKE airport. As County Executive I will work with Congresswoman Moore to pursue additional federal funding to improve our infrastructure and services for those in need.”

“Theo’s years of public service to Milwaukee County are what we need at this very moment. I’m going to do all I can to help him win, and I’m asking you to join me,” said Moore.

Chairman Theo Lipscomb was first elected to the County Board in 2008 and is currently serving his fourth term representing the 1st District (Bayside, Brown Deer, Fox Point, Glendale, River Hills and a portion of the northeast side of Milwaukee) – more than 51,000 constituents in all. He has served as Chairman of the Board since July 30, 2015 and is the youngest person to be elected three times as Chairman. As lifelong residents of Milwaukee County, Chairman Lipscomb resides in Glendale with his wife, Nicole, and their three children.
