Leona Lionheart Saves the World

April 18, 2020 @ 11:00 am

Free

11-year-old Leona Lionheart is home sick on the day of her school’s big river cleanup! How can a kid save the world when she can’t even leave her own room? With the help of an old storybook, she learns that those who came before her had it just as tough! Join Leona on this imaginative 30-minute adventure as she explores the trials and triumphs of conservation’s most famous women and cements herself as her very own conservation legend. Audiences will learn about Eugenie Clark, “The Shark Lady,” Anna Botsford Comstock, the hero of “outdoor education” and Wangari Maathai and her trees of peace. Most appropriate for audiences K-5 in a school setting.
