Gov. Evers Signs Senate Bill 447 Relating to Supplemental Transportation Aids

MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers today signed Senate Bill 447, now 2019 Wisconsin Act 69. This bill makes a technical fix to match the intent of 2019 Wisconsin Act 9 with regard to the supplemental transportation aid program. This change will allow the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to award aid $2.5 million of allocated aid to 144 towns across the state.
“I am happy to sign this bill today as it is a technical fix that is going to greatly benefit our roads and communities,” Gov. Evers said. “By making this correction to match the intent of our budget bill, we will be allowing the Department of Transportation to award $2.5 million in supplemental transportation aid to more than 100 Wisconsin communities.”
Senate Bill 447, now 2019 Wisconsin Act 69:
- Makes a technical fix to 2019 Wisconsin Act 9 by requiring that the Wisconsin Department of Transportation make supplemental aids payments to towns based on mileage rather than on the share-of-costs formula.
