Gov. Evers Authorizes Dane County to Lower Flags to Half-Staff in Honor of Officer Katherine “Katie” Barrios

MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers today authorized Dane County to lower the United States and the State of Wisconsin flags to half-staff as a mark of respect for Officer Katherine “Katie” Barrios, who was a member of the Middleton Police Department and faithfully and honorably served and protected the people of Middleton and the state of Wisconsin. The order is effective beginning at sunrise and ending at sunset on May 2, 2019.
“I was saddened to hear about the loss of Katie Barrios, an officer with the Middleton Police Department who was dedicated to serving her community,” Gov. Evers said. “Our deepest condolences go out to Officer Barrios’ family and friends during this difficult time.”
