Guest House of Milwaukee Welcomes Claire Van Fossen as Senior Manager of Strategic Development

Van Fossen will take charge of all strategic fund development work on behalf of the organization.

Milwaukee, WI, Release: December 19, 2018. The Guest House of Milwaukee, a local nonprofit providing shelter, housing, education, and services to Milwaukee’s homeless for over 30 years, announced and welcomed Claire Van Fossen as Senior Manager of Strategic Development this month. Van Fossen will take charge of all strategic fund development work on behalf of the organization, in addition to assisting with marketing and volunteer functions of the agency.

A seasoned fundraising and marketing professional, Van Fossen says she couldn’t be more excited about the new position. “For nearly four decades, Guest House has been a respected and successful leader in providing More Than Shelter to those experiencing homelessness and housing instability in Milwaukee at all levels. I am so honored to contribute to this important work in this position.”

Van Fossen comes to the Guest House with nearly 10 years of experience in fund development and marketing for other impactful nonprofit agencies, as well as a wealth of community development experience. In her new role, Van Fossen will focus on innovating messaging and fund development work and broadening corporate, individual, and private foundation giving.

The Executive Director of the Guest House, Cindy Krahenbuhl, expressed confidence that Van Fossen will excel in the position, saying: “From the time we interviewed her, we could see the vision and innovation Claire will bring to this position.  We are energized to have her on board”.

Van Fossen was last in the position of Director of Development with Neighborhood House of Milwaukee, and has most recently operated her own PR & Marketing consulting firm, Van Fossen PR.
