State Rep. Jimmy Anderson
Press Release

Hold the Damn Elections

"You have to have some kind of nerve to spend almost $1 billion over the last few weeks and then claim that elections cost too much."

By - Mar 28th, 2018 12:28 pm

MADISON – State Representative Jimmy Anderson released the following statement in response to Governor Walker’s attempt to deny the people of the 1st Senate District and the 42nd Assembly District the right to have an election.

“Wisconsin Republicans are arguing that holding special elections in vacant legislative seats would be ‘a waste of money’. You have to have some kind of nerve to spend almost $1 billion over the last few weeks and then claim that elections cost too much. One estimate put the cost of the senate election at $15,000. The Attorney General’s office will spend more than $15,000 losing case after case attempting to delay the special election. If Wisconsin is doing as well as Governor Walker claims, if we’re truly #WIWorking and #WIWinning, then we can afford to hold the damn election. Any statement to the contrary is deceitful and undemocratic.”

Very well said Rep. Jimmy Anderson!

    Hold the damn elections!

These are republican districts and if republicans win again then so be it. 230,000 people deserve the right to representation without waiting an entire year because Career Politician Walker and republicans are afraid they might lose.

    Dump Walker 2018

  2. Terry says:

Career Politician Scott Walker has been on the Big Government dole for so long now (he’s been office and mooching since he was 22 years old!?) he seems to have forgotten that HE was elected in a special election!

  3. Dennis says:

I doesn’t matter who wins the election, what matters is the people in those districts have the representation they deserve

  4. Terry says:

Question. What happens when Career Politician Scott Walker and the entire Wisconsin republican corruption cartel runs head long into Eric Holder? Holder slam dunks on them and humiliates them.
