Milwaukee Repertory Theater’s Rep Lap Short-play Festival Returns February 15-19 in the Stiemke Studio

1/9/18- [Milwaukee] Milwaukee Repertory Theater  presents the eighth annual production of Rep Lab, a short-play festival featuring The Rep’s highly-lauded Emerging Professional Residents in the Stiemke Studio February 15-19, 2018.   Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online at www.MilwaukeeRep.com, by phone at 414-224-9490, or at the Ticket Office at 108 E Wells Street, Milwaukee.

Described by Milwaukee Journal Sentinel as “fun-filled,” and “thoughtfully arranged,” Rep Lab showcases the work of The Rep’s Emerging Professional Residents (EPRs) across theatrical disciplines from direction to design to acting.  Rep Lab is conceived and produced solely by the Emerging Professional Residents and has become one of the hottest tickets in town.

Letters from Quebec to Providence in the Rain by Don Nigro

Directed by 2017/18 Directing EPR Simon Evans featuring Anthony Baldasare, Brade Bradshaw, Erin Logan and Kelsey Rodriguez

Linus and Murray by Leah Nanako Walker

Directed by Community Engagement Associate Nabra Nelson (2015/16 Directing EPR) featuring Brade Bradshaw and Kelsey Rodriguez

Missed Connections (from an Anonymous Craigslist Post) adapted by Sophiyaa Nayar, based on a concept devised by Leda Hoffmann

Directed by 2017/18 Directing EPR Sophiyaa Nayar, featuring Annelyse Ahmad and Daniel Stock

One for the Chipper by Adam Seidel

The cast of Rep Lab will feature Rep Emerging Professional Residents:

Annelyse Ahmad (Women in Missed Connections, Mia in Something Like Loneliness and Ensemble in Devised Piece) appeared as Ellen in A Christmas Carol as well as the Vernon in Guys and Dolls. Understudy credits include Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls, Zarina and Mahwish in The Who & The What, Ghost of Christmas Past/Ellen’s Sister and Caroline in A Christmas Carol and Squealer/Mollie/Ensemble in Animal Farm.

Anthony Baldasare (Jonathan in Letters From Quebec to Providence in the Rain, Bobby in One for the Chipper and Ensemble in Devised Piece) appeared in the ensembles of A Christmas Carol and Guys and Dolls. Understudy credits include Benny Southstreet and Lt. Brannigan in Guys and Dolls, Eli in The Who & The What, Evans and Patient 2 in Holmes and Watson, Bob Cratchit and Belle’s Husband in A Christmas Carol and Snowball/Minimus/Ensemble in Animal Farm.

Brade Bradshaw (Drama Teacher in Welcome, Parents, Petrus in Letters From Quebec to Providence in the Rain, Linus/Jesse in Linus and Murray and Ensemble in Devised Piece) appeared as Ghost of Christmas Future and Dick Wilkins in A Christmas Carol and the ensemble of Guys and Dolls. Understudy credits include Angie the Ox, Calvin, Sky Masterson and Rusty Charlie in Guys and Dolls, Orderly/Inspector/Moriarty/Patient 1 in Holmes and Watson and Fred, Dicken’s Assistant, Young Scrooge and Caroline’s Husband in A Christmas Carol. Mr. Bradshaw will next appear in Animal Farm as part of the ensemble.

Kimberly Giddens (Larissa in The Lachrymatory Factor, Jenny in One for the Chipper and Ensemble in Devised Piece) appeared as Alice in A Christmas Carol and the ensemble of Guys and Dolls. Understudy credits include Miss Adelaide, Agatha/Allison and Ferguson/Martha in Guys and Dolls, Ellen and Belle in A Christmas Carol and Sussanah Mullally in Black Pearl Sings!

Trachel Yvette Green (Mandy in The Lachrymatory Factor, Kelly in One for the Chipper and Ensemble in Devised Piece) appeared in the ensembles of A Christmas Carol and Guys and Dolls. Understudy credits include General Cartwright in Guys and Dolls, Nanny in A Christmas Carol and Pearl in Black Pearl Sings!

Erin Logan (Marianne in Letters From Quebec to Providence in the Rain, Jane in The Lachrymatory Factor and Ensemble in Devised Piece) Understudy credits include Ghost of Christmas Past/Ellen’s Sister and Caroline in A Christmas Carol and Clover/Ensemble in Animal Farm.

Alex Morales (Dan in Something Like Loneliness, Billy in One for the Chipper and Ensemble in Devised Piece) appeared in the ensemble of A Christmas Carol. Understudy credits include Harry the Horse, Big Jule in Guys and Dolls, Ghost of Jacob Marley and Old Joe in A Christmas Carol and Napoleon/Ensemble in Animal Farm.

Kelsey Rodriguez (Vanessa in Letters From Quebec to Providence in the Rain, Murray/Bob in Linus and Murray and Ensemble in Devised Piece) appeared as Nanny in A Christmas Carol and in the ensemble in Guys and Dolls. Understudy credits include Matron/The Women in Holmes and Watson, Alice, Mrs. Fezziwig, Dicken’s Assistant/ Mrs. Dilber, Mrs. Cratchit and Thomas’s Mother in A Christmas Carol and Major/Boxer/Ensemble in Animal Farm. Ms. Rodriguez will next appear in Animal Farm as part of the ensemble.

Daniel Stock (Man in Missed Connections, Chipper in One for the Chipper and Ensemble in Devised Piece) appeared as Belle’s Husband in A Christmas Carol. Understudy credits include Nicely-Nicely Johnson, Nathan Detriot, Arivide Abernathy and Rusty Charlie in Guys and Dolls, Patient 3 and Dr. Watson in Holmes and Watson, Ghost of Christmas Present, Thomas’s Father, Mr. Fezziwig in A Christmas Carol and Jones/Benjamin/Pilkington/Ensemble in Animal Farm.
