Our Daily Salt in Silver City to Close
Our Daily Salt will close their location at 3519 W. National Avenue by December 31st, 2017
Our Daily Salt will close their location at 3519 W. National Avenue by December 31st, 2017. Since opening the location in 2014, Our Daily Salt has been a favorite for neighbors and visitors seeking beautiful, hand-crafted wood products for meal preparation and display.
The business was the winner of the Silver City Business Plan Competition, sponsored by Layton Boulevard West Neighbors (LBWN), Impact 7, the Multicultural Entrepreneurial Institute (MEI), the Zilber Family Foundation and the Wisconsin Women’s’ Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC). Since opening in 2014, Our Daily Salt has become a well-loved community asset and LBWN thanks owners Felisha Wild and Janelle Phalen for all they have done to support the Silver City neighborhood.
Felisha Wild made the difficult decision to close because summer festival sales were not as high as expected and wholesale and retail sales struggled to compete against cheaper products made outside the United States. Felisha will continue to explore artistic vessel and bowl turning after the store closes.
The building will be listed for rent in the coming months.
Be sure to visit the Our Daily Salt soon in Silver City at 3519 W National Avenue for the best selection of remaining products! Their hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00am to 6:00pm or by appointment.
