BOSTON – Today, Representative  Lisa Subeck (D-Madison) was elected to serve as the Midwestern Democrat representative on the Executive Board of the Women’s Legislative Network of the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL).

“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve in this leadership role in the Women’s Leadership Network of the National Council of State Legislators,” said Rep. Subeck. “I look forward to advancing the network’s mission of promoting the participation, empowerment, and leadership of women legislators.”

Rep. Subeck was formally elected this morning at the Network’s meeting during the NCSL Legislative Summit in Boston. The Network is the professional development organization that includes every female state legislator in the 50 states, United States territories, and the District of Columbia.

“At a time when women make up only 25% of legislators nationwide, I am excited to help lead an organization committed to the empowerment of women in our State Legislatures,” said Rep. Subeck.
