The Iron Horse Hotel Presents the Second Annual “Yappy Hour at the Yard” on July 30

Locals and pets can celebrate summer together with craft beer specials benefitting local rescue shelters and specialty pop-up shops with pet-friendly merchandise and treats

(MILWAUKEE; JULY 15, 2016)—The Iron Horse Hotel (500 W. Florida St.), Milwaukee’s premiere luxury independent property, invites locals and guests alike to enjoy a pet party with a purpose at the second annual “Yappy Hour at the Yard” event on July 30 from 2-4 p.m. Guests and their furry four-legged friends can mix and mingle with local pet stores purveyors showcasing featured pop-up shops with pet-friendly merchandise and treats at The Yard, the hotel’s al fresco dining space.

In support of the Milwaukee pet community, The Iron Horse Hotel donates $1 of each Fe Ale craft beer purchased at the event to local rescue shelters. Additionally, on this dog day of summer, furry friends can beat the heat while slurping up Bowser Beer’s Mia’s Ale ($5), a beef-based non-alcoholic beer for dogs. Guests are encouraged to pair libations with a mix of offerings presented on the regular menu at The Yard as well as the new Chicken Wrap with chips ($11).
 
Participating local pet stores include: Mac’s Pet Depot Barkery, The Lovin Oven Pet Bakery, Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue, Community Bark, and Jake Schneider with Winston Wishes to present retailed goods as well as complimentary samples for pets to enjoy at home.

Reservations are not required.
