Reckless Ron Continues to Embrace Donald Trump’s Dangerous Foreign Policy Agenda
“Senator Johnson’s continued support for Trump’s dangerous foreign policy agenda raises questions about Johnson's judgment,” said Harry Hartfield, spokesman for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin.
Another day and another reckless foreign policy proposal from Donald Trump for Senator Johnson to defend. While Senator Johnson continues to point fingers and fearmonger on national security, he’s deferred to Donald Trump when it comes to policy proposals. Now Donald Trump has raised serious doubts about his commitment to our allies in NATO. The comments come on the heels of Johnson’s national security speech at Trump’s convention where he heaped praise on the Republican nominee’s vision for foreign policy. Will Trump’s disregard for America’s allies cross a line for Senator Johnson? He refuses to answer, but our guess is no.
“Senator Johnson’s continued support for Trump’s dangerous foreign policy agenda raises questions about Johnson’s judgment. Does Senator Johnson also support torturing POWs? Does he want to weaken our alliances? Does he support bombing innocent civilians? Truth is, we don’t know what Senator Johnson believes, since he refuses to say. But if he were serious about national security, he wouldn’t support Donald Trump’s bid to be commander-in-chief.” said Harry Hartfield, spokesman for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin.
