Art at The Gardens Craft Fair
Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens Fundraising Event
Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens will present the free, sixth annual “Art at The Gardens Craft Fair,” Sun., May 4, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The Botanical Gardens, “Milwaukee’s Living Museum,” is located in Whitnall Park at 9400 Boerner Drive.
Over 40 local artists and DIY crafters will sell an eclectic collection of unique handmade items—from children’s clothes and accessories to jewelry, purses, pottery, and candles. Artists will be located inside and outside of the Education and Visitor Center. The event will go on rain or shine.
Complementing the fair is a stamping workshop. From 11 a.m.-2 p.m., workshop attendees will learn beginning stamping techniques used in creating one-of-a-kind greeting cards. A fee is charged for the workshop.
Proceeds from the fair and workshop will support children’s plant-science programs provided by Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens.
While the fair is free, regular admission to the Botanical Gardens is in effect. Admission is $5 per adult; $4 per person with disability, Milwaukee County Senior with ID (age 60+), or student of any age with ID; and $3 per youth (age 6-17).
