Farmers to Host Candidate Townhall in Oak Creek
OAK CREEK, WI – The Milwaukee-Waukesha and Kenosha-Jefferson-Racine-Walworth chapters of Wisconsin Farmers Union are hosting a candidate townhall at Village Farmstead (4020 E. Fitzsimmons Road, Oak Creek, WI 53154) on Wednesday, October 14 from 6-8pm. The event is a non-partisan, informational forum with candidates for Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District, 21st Senate District, and 20th Assembly District. Candidates will share their agricultural and rural policy platforms related to conservation and local control. Doors will open at 5:45PM and the event will begin at 6PM. After the townhall concludes, candidates may be available for conversation during a casual social time.
Questions for the candidates will be provided by Wisconsin Farmers Union chapters and by attendees who submit questions prior to the event. As this is a non-partisan, 501(c)(3) educational forum, all candidates have been invited and the conversation will remain focused on issues important to farmers, rural residents, and the local community.
