Pabst Mansion Brings Back After-Hours “Illuminating the Dark” Tours for October
MILWAUKEE — Spooky season returns to the Pabst Mansion this October with the return of Illuminating the Dark, a specialty after-hours tour that offers visitors a different look at one of Milwaukee’s best-known historic homes.
Held in the Mansion after-hours and lit by “candlelight,” the tour explores some of the darker stories and lesser-seen spaces of the Pabst family home. Guests will have the opportunity to discover hidden compartments, explore shadowy corners of the basement and hear stories that aren’t typically part of the Mansion’s regular daily tours, including stories of loss and mourning.
Illuminating the Dark will be offered October 2–31 on Friday and Saturday evenings. While the tour embraces the spooky atmosphere of the season, it focuses on the history and stories of the Mansion rather than ghosts or the paranormal.
Advance ticket purchase is highly recommended, as tours are expected to sell out. Admission is:
- $30 for adults
- $28 for students, seniors, and military
- $13 for Pabst Mansion members
Visitors will also receive a special, secret souvenir with their ticket.
