Northwestern Mutual concluded 2022 with record revenue of nearly $35 billion and total surplus of over $37 billion. A city subsidy agreement, approved in March 2023, calls for up to $30 million to be provided to the company across nearly two decades in reduced property taxes. I hope NML says thank you to the taxpayers of Milwaukee for the giveaway…a few times over.
