I’ll cover the Milwaukee Ballet’s new season in more depth at a later date. For now, I’ll pass along the basic information and just say: I’m glad to see Genesis Competition winner Gabrielle Lamb returning next season, and Snow White is the sort of thing Michael Pink might knock out of the park. (Of course, he’ll have to find seven very short dancers.) Performances will take place in Marcus Center Uihlein Hall unless otherwise noted.

Oct. 31-Nov. 3: Michael Pink’s Romeo & Juliet, a Milwaukee Ballet staple.

Dec.14-27: Pink’s endlessly charming Christmas perennial, The Nutcracker.

Feb. 13-16, Winter Series at the Pabst Theater: Gabrielle Lamb, winner of this year’s Genesis choreographic competition, returns to create a new work for the company. Luca Veggetti will “challenge the definition of dance in a stripped-down, provocative piece that perfectly accentuates the intimate confines of The Pabst.”

April 3-6, Spring Series: Matthew Neenan and Amy Seiwart return to Milwaukee to creat new works tailored specifically to the strengths of Milwaukee Ballet Company dancers. Venezuelan choreographer Vincente Nebrada puts a twist on traditional dance in Our Waltzes, which will feature live piano accompaniment.

May 15-18: Mirror, Mirror, Pink’s new narrative ballet, modelled after Snow White. Phillip Feeney, a favorite Pink collaborator, is composing the music.

The Ballet offers six flexible ticket packages for subscribers, including the popular Friends and Family Package. For more information about becoming a Ballet subscriber, please contact Milwaukee Ballet at (414) 902-2103 or visit the Milwaukee Ballet website.
