Total Victory – “National Service”

Manchester band Total Victory's new album "National Service" just isn't enough fun to be anything beyond decent.

Total Victory is a band from Greater Manchester, England, and they sound like a saner, more dramatic version of another English band named Her Parents, who sound like a smaller, thinner, somewhat more introverted version of Future Of The Left. Still, National Service is a decent record that creates a mood of seriousness that ends up falling short of demanding that it be taken seriously. In other words, they are not Joy Division, so why not try to have more fun? Fun would help Total Victory achieve something beyond decent, and listeners typically enjoy fun.
