Time to bundle up!

By - Nov 5th, 2011 04:00 am

At the start of every new season I find my self telling all of you that it’s one of my favorites. I’m pretty sure it’s a subconscious way of psyching myself up for the change ahead. But honestly, I love this time of year. Yes, we’re saying good-bye to more daylight and nice weather but there’s also something about Fall and Winter that excites me. After thinking about it, I realized it’s because I love to bundle up! Beautiful coats, soft cushy fabrics and some of my favorite accessories – scarves, hats, and gloves! It is definitely not a time to be bummed out about wearing layers and being buttoned up when you step out of the house.

Check out some of my latest finds. They are sure to make you smile even in the gloomiest weather.

GLOVES

Unlimited Craftworks

Don’t opt for the normal selection of gloves at your local store. There are many options if you look! Check out these beautiful knit wool gloves from Unlimited Craftworks. They are made from 100 percent wool, have a beautiful interesting pattern and are an awesome yellow!

Not a glove kinda gal? How about these adorable mittens also from Unlimited Craftworks! Mittens always remind me of childhood and are fun to wear, plus, they keep your fingers nice and toasty!

Are you a techie type who loves gloves but won’t wear them because you can’t use your touchscreen? How about a pair of fingerless gloves? These great gloves from The Eva Shoppe and Lilithist are sure to do the trick while adding splashes of color to your outfit. Now you can text and use your phone without taking your gloves off!

SCARVES

I absolutely love scarves and can go on and on about them. I am drawn to scarves that are different in shape, texture, and style as well as ones that have unique embellishments. These two fun scarves from Ayca have me smiling from ear to ear. What can be more fun than wearing one of these?

And for my all time favorite winter accessory – cowl scarves. Cowl scarves are wider than traditional scarves and come with or without a hood. These two beauties from Lilithist caught my eye. Both are whimsical and unique in their own ways. Hopefully my husband will read this article and get the hint that I’d like one from Santa! Maybe, he’ll come to the conclusion that I’ve been extra good and they’ll both show up under the tree.

I just couldn’t resist adding this little guy from Sunshine Stitch. I am an avid coffee drinker and when I saw this, I thought to myself “Yes. Definitely. Coffee cups need accessories too!” Okay. I’m pushing it a little so appease me.

HATS

Last but not least, Fall and Winter are prime hat seasons. These two hats from Two Seaside Babes and Rock and Salt are menswear inspired which is definitely in this season. Both will keep your warm and in style!
