Host Mark Metcalf talks about same sex adoption and parenting in Part Two of TCD’s podcast series on LGBT issues. Click here for Part One with former soldier and LGBT activist, Miriam Ben-Shalom. 

Kevin McElroy, the co-owner of Robert Laurence Hair Studio in Shorewood, and has cut hair for actors at the Milwaukee Rep for 19 years and makes wigs for cancer patients and others with hair loss.

By working with Children’s Service Society of Wisconsin, Kevin and his partner Wayne have adopted two boys, ages one and two. This week, Kevin talks with me about adopting a child in a state that does not recognize his partnership as a marriage, and the slow but evident progress in LGBT rights. Kevin says people interested in adoption should visit the Children’s Service Society of Wisconsin web site.
