Cathy Myers, a 23-year high school English teacher and Janesville School Board member, has gained momentum in in recent days by raising the voices of those affected by Paul Ryan’s policies.

On Thursday, Cathy delivered over 1,600 petition signatures in support of a boy named Jack. Jack suffers from X-linked agammaglobulinemia, or XLA. The disease requires bi-weekly infusions of antibodies that will cost him $32,000 per month as an adult. Jack joined Cathy to deliver a message to Senator Johnson and Paul Ryan: “If I didn’t have my treatments, I’d die.”

A recent long-form profile of Cathy Myers revealed interesting details about her upbringing, policy priorities, and life as a biker mom.

“Cathy Myers, who may not have the best twitter handle in the race, will rely on her history of electoral success, community involvement, and focus on the issues as she navigates her campaign.”
