SUMMARY:First Stage Presents: Spookley the Square Pumpkin
DESCRIPTION:Spookley the Square Pumpkin is teased by the other pumpkins because of his odd shape. His new friends – three hilarious spiders named Edgar\, Allan and Poe – try to convince Spookley that square or not\, he has a right to be the Pick of the Patch on Halloween. Spookley isn’t sure he has what it takes until a mighty storm threatens to destroy the entire patch\, sending the round pumpkins rolling towards the raging river. Just in time for Halloween\, Spookley – the Official Spokes-Pumpkin for National Bullying Prevention Month as recognized by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center – teaches us there are times it is better to be square. Suggested for families with young people ages 3 – 7+ \nPerformances are held on Saturdays and Sundays at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center.

SUMMARY:Central Park Revisited: The Music of Bocelli & Friends
DESCRIPTION:On September 16th\, 2011 the Great Lawn of Central Park was filled with 60\,000 adoring fans of one the most beloved tenors of all time\, Andrea Bocelli. Accompanied by the New York Philharmonic under the direction of the great Alan Gilbert\, not even the rains of Hurricane Maria could dampen this spectacular night of music. Joined by some of the biggest stars of both the pop and classical music scenes\, the night was bursting with the sounds of Bocelli’s treasured hits. A “pop culture extravaganza”\, Bocelli\, along with Celine Dion\, Tony Bennet\, Chriss Botti\, Bryn Terfel (and many others) transformed one of the most remarkable and renowned urban parks into the grandest of Opera houses\, the most opulent of theatre venues\, and the flashiest of concert arenas\, in an evening that exemplified the magic of New York City and the great Central Park concert series. \nJoin internationally celebrated performers Jonathan Hawkins\, Lee Lessack and Heather Lundstedt as they recreate this awe inspiring evening\, performing such favorites as\, “La Donna Mobile”\, “The Prayer”\, “Time to Say Goobdye” and “Nessun Dorma”. \nCome discover the splendor of “Andre Bocelli Live in Central Park [Revisited]”.

SUMMARY:RENT 20th Anniversary Tour
DESCRIPTION:In 1996\, an original rock musical by a little-known composer opened on Broadway… and forever changed the landscape of American theatre. Two decades later\, Jonathan Larson’s RENT continues to speak loudly and defiantly to audiences across generations and all over the world. And now\, this Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award®-winning masterpiece returns to the stage in a vibrant 20th anniversary touring production. A re-imagining of Puccini‘s La Bohème\, RENT follows an unforgettable year in the lives of seven artists struggling to follow their dreams without selling out. With its inspiring message of joy and hope in the face of fear\, this timeless celebration of friendship and creativity reminds us to measure our lives with the only thing that truly matters—love.
