SUMMARY:The Woman in Black
DESCRIPTION:Direct from London’s West End comes the chilling and electrifying theatrical event that has kept millions of audiences on the edge of their seats for more than 30 years. Director Robin Herford’s production is a gripping study in atmosphere\, illusion and controlled horror. A lawyer obsessed with a curse that he believes has been cast over him and his family by the specter of a woman in black – engages a skeptical young actor to help him tell his terrifying story and hopefully exorcise the fear that grips his soul. As they reach further into his darkest memories\, they find themselves ensnared in a world of eerie marshes and moaning winds. What happens next is something you must see to believe! \nAdapted by Stephen Mallatratt\nDirected by Robin Herford

SUMMARY:Staged Reading of OUTRAGE By Deirdre Kinahan
DESCRIPTION:Join Milwaukee Irish Arts for a reading of OUTRAGE\, the third one-act play in Deirdre Kinahan’s RAGING trilogy. The play revolves around an actual event in 1923\, when two sisters deeply engaged in the Irish Revolution later become victims of the Irish Free State soldiers when the country descends into Civil War. \nThis performance continues our presentation of one-act plays from Deirdre Kinahan’s book RAGING. This trilogy of landmark plays commemorates seven years of warfare in Ireland from the 1916 Easter Rising to the Civil War\, which began in 1922. We performed the first play in the trilogy\, WILD SKY\, this past summer at Irish Fest to an enthusiastic reception\, and presented the second play EMBARGO to a packed County Clare Joyce Room in January. \nPay-what-you will.

SUMMARY:A Conversation With Michelle Grabner and Mary Dornfeld
DESCRIPTION:Hear from exhibiting artist Michelle Grabner and Haggerty Director John McKinnon as they discuss Grabner’s newest body of work featured in Michelle Grabner: Under the Sink on view from January 17 to May 24\, 2025. \nMilwaukee-based artist\, writer\, and curator Michelle Grabner pays homage to custodial labor through this installation of household sinks and replicated everyday objects. Largely unseen janitorial work is instead foregrounded through the presence of commonplace objects used to keep institutional spaces sanitary. In the traditionally orderly gallery space\, rests a silver leafed garbage can\, cast bronze broom\, and cast porcelain buckets\, caddies\, wash brushes\, toilet paper rolls\, washcloths\, “wet floor” signs\, and cleaning supplies. \nThe majority of the work in Grabner’s exhibition is produced in the Kohler MakerSpace\, an invitational project space for artists and designers based in Kohler’s Pottery. In addition\, the display includes work from Kohler Co.’s commercial production line including single basin wall-mounted sinks.
