SUMMARY:The Matriarch + Shell Bells + Vanity Plates
DESCRIPTION:Join Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co. for an evening of live music featuring The Matriarch\, Shell Bells and Vanity Plates! \nThe Matriarch  \nThe Matriarch is a queer\, indie rock/folk pop band based out of Bloomington\, IN. The band’s origins are one of cosmic coincidence- an unexpected knee injury during the height of the pandemic gave space for the members to experiment with a new creative outlet: music. \nVanity Plates  \nFor two years following the breakup of his band Ugly Brothers\, Alex Shah went through a songwriting dry spell. That changed in early 2018 with the materialization of a series of simple\, angsty\, power-chord-driven rock songs\, a sonic departure from the meticulously composed chamber pop of his previous group. Shah quickly hit the studio to capture these songs\, recruiting friends Shane Timm on drums and Ian Worcester on bass. The resulting album\, You Want to Move\, was released shortly after and Vanity Plates was born. \nTickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.

SUMMARY:The Cancellations + Genevieve Heyward + Amelia Ford
DESCRIPTION:Join Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co. for an evening of live music featuring The Cancellations\, Genevieve Heyward and Amelia Ford. \nThe Cancellations \nDepression you can dance to. Outlaw pop. Y’allternative. Theatrical indie dream rock. Deep space nineties. Wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube music. \nGenevieve Heyward \nSince she can remember\, Wisconsin based singer-songwriter Genevieve Heyward has grown up with music in her life. Adept at both guitar and piano\, she writes her songs based on raw emotion and relatable experiences that cuts through with melody and sultry tone. Straight out of high school\, she dove head first into music: touring nationally and internationally\, either by herself\, with her band\, or with other well renowned artists. She has released numerous records throughout her career and doesn’t plan on stopping. Her music has hints of indie folk\, bedroom pop and indie piano pop\, all tied in with her own spin and topped off with a unique and rich voice. Her songs and performing style incorporates humor and connection\, making the audience feel heard and immersed. \nAmelia Ford \nAward winning singer-songwriter Amelia Ford mixes soft soprano with raw grit in her 50+ original pop and folk-rock songs. \nOften drawing vocal comparisons to Alanis Morissette\, Amelia is innately musical\, self-taught on guitar\, piano\, and bass. However her greatest standout\, songwriting\, is unmistakably her home. \nTickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door.
