SUMMARY:Dream Together Gala
DESCRIPTION:Dreams come true when generous people like you come together to make a difference. \nOur in-person Gala will take place in an exciting new venue this year! We’ll party at Gather at Deer District\, a one-of-a-kind event venue in the heart of downtown Milwaukee at 333 W. Registration is FREE for online viewers. \nTogether we aim to raise $230\,000 to fund: \n• Activity and art supplies needed to keep adult clients and children engaged through fun and enjoyable projects that exercise the mind and body\n• Raised bed gardens to add homegrown produce to meals and give children and adults the experience of planting and tending a garden\n• The difference between what it costs to provide one day of care to an adult client and the amount St. Ann Center receives from government programs \nYou can make this $230\,000 goal a reality and make so many dreams come true! \nTo register\, or learn of sponsorship opportunities\, visit: https://stanncenter.org/gala/

SUMMARY:46th Annual Morning Glory Art Fair
DESCRIPTION:Good news\, Milwaukee! A signature outdoor summer event is returning this August. The 46th annual Morning Glory Art Fair will take place Saturday and Sunday\, Aug 14-15\, on the plaza in front of Fiserv Forum. \nThe Morning Glory Art Fair is a nationally-recognized show that features fine craft and art from 130 talented artists from around the country. Each artist is individually juried into the fair\, based on a committee review of their portfolio. The stringent review process ensures the highest level of fine craft and art are presented at Morning Glory. \nMorning Glory is free and open to the public and regularly draws 12\,000 attendees. The show moved to the plaza in front of Fiserv Forum in 2019. The Morning Glory Art Fair is hosted by the Wisconsin Designer Crafts Council (WDCC)\, one of the oldest fine craft organizations in the country. \n“We’re excited to bring Morning Glory back in 2021 and present a beloved event that so many look forward to each year\,” said Jean Wells\, President of the Wisconsin Designer Crafts Council. “The WDCC was created in 1916 with the purpose of supporting and promoting artists who are dedicated to excelling in their craft. The cancellation of art shows and fairs last year\, coupled with the closure of boutiques and small shops\, hit artists hard so we’re pleased we can host a two-day event that showcases their work.” \nMorning Glory features art in 12 categories\, including ceramics\, digital art\, jewelry\, photography and sculpture. \nBased on CDC and Milwaukee Health Department guidelines at the time\, the art fair will implement appropriate COVID safety protocols. \nFor more information on the Morning Glory Art Fair or to sign up for the summer e-newsletter\, visit www.morninggloryartfair.com. To become a Morning Glory volunteer\, please complete the form at the bottom of the home page.
