DESCRIPTION:The Milwaukee NARI Home & Remodeling Show will be held Fri.\, Oct. 7 – Sun.\, Oct. 9\, 2016\, at the State Fair Park Exposition Center in West Allis\, Wis. \nThe Show will provide attendees with an opportunity to meet with more than 100 Milwaukee NARI member exhibitors\, displaying the latest home improvement and remodeling products and services\, including design/build\, kitchens\, decks\, cabinets\, windows\, wall covering\, bathrooms\, lighting\, landscaping\, roofing\, painting\, fireplaces\, siding\, and more. \nIn addition\, there will be daily educational presentations and demonstrations by home improvement specialists\, including Melinda Myers\, on Fri.\, Oct. 7 at 2:30 p.m. The Show will also feature cooking competitions and chefs preparing their favorite recipes\, including former Green Bay Packer Leroy Butler on Sat.\, Oct. 8 at 1 p.m. \nSpecial attractions at the Show include the Interactive Smart Home Gallery\, a “Create and Take” area\, live music\, the Milwaukee NARI Show Information area\, a 50/50 cash raffle presented by the Milwaukee NARI Foundation. Inc.\, and much more. \nHours on Fri.\, Oct. 7 are 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.\, 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Sat.\, Oct. 8\, and on Sun.\, Oct. 9\, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Admission is $8 in advance\, and $10 at the door. It has involved student work from UW-Madison and IIT. And it has led to several spin-off projects that have the potential to make real\, as demonstration projects\, some of the ecological ambitions of the Inner Harbor Project as a whole. This exhibition surveys the results\, describes proposed demonstration projects\, and concludes with a vision of the Inner Harbor’s ecological and economic restoration. \nWorks by Joint Effort Studio\nFurniture + Architectural Interiors\nFounded by Jesse Damrow (SARUP alum) in 2009\, Joint Effort Studio is on a mission to create heirloom quality original modern sculptural furnishings that are accessible to a broad market. Formal training and practice in the field of architecture\, and years of collaboration and training under master carpenters has converged into a love affair for wood and design. Each piece is designed and hand built right here in Wisconsin. Joint Effort is a LEED certified operation striving whenever possible to source locally\, and from responsibly harvested forests.
