That’s why we’re excited to present Laughing Liberally Milwaukee\, a monthly progressive political comedy show featuring Milwaukee’s top liberal and progressive comedians. \nLaughing Liberally Milwaukee is the local chapter of Laughing Liberally\, a national organization of progressive comedians who use humor and laughter to spread understanding of liberal ideas and advance progressive values. Matthew’s work has been featured by CNN\, NPR\, PBS\, HBO\, BBC\, the New York Times\, the Wall Street Journal\, the Atlantic\, the Nation\, the London Times\, Ain’t It Cool News\, and the Huffington Post. Matthew also hosts the creatively titled Laughing Liberally Milwaukee Podcast for the Shepherd Express. \nComedians on the February 10th bill include Kristin Lytie\, Maros Lara\, Sasha Rosser\, Josh Fred and sketch comedy troupe The Accountants Of Homeland Security. \nIn addition to some of the finest progressive comedians Milwaukee has to offer\, each Laughing Liberally Milwaukee features a special interview with a local activist\, journalist\, or political figure. DESCRIPTION:Join FRSO Wisconsin on 2/15 at UWM\, Lubar Hall Room N126 for a special Black History Month program titled “On Black & Palestinian Liberation.” The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. \nThe program will feature special guest Kobi Guillory\, a leading member of Freedom Road and the Chicago branch of the National Alliance Against Racist & Political Repression\, as well as a rank-and-file trade union activist with the Chicago Teachers Union. \nAttendance is free to all! The ties between the Black liberation movement in the US and the Palestinian liberation movement are long and deep and has much solidarity.
