DESCRIPTION:In celebration of Girl Scout Cookie season​\, Mathnasium in Wauwatosa​ is transforming its learning center into​ a FREE cookie-filled math playground​ with the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast on Saturday\, March 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. while families stock up on their favorite Girl Scout cookies. \nThe​ family-friendly event will feature a range of engaging activities designed to inspire fun and learning for the entire family: \n-Smart Cookie Challenge & Raffle: Kids can put their estimating skills to the test by guessing the number of cookies in the jar\, with the chance to win a delicious prize. \nGirl Scout-Themed Friendship Bracelets: Kids will get creative at the bracelet station\, using number charms\, Girl Scout-colored beads\, and string to craft their own personalized designs. \n-Cookie-Themed Activity Sheets: Engaging\, problem-solving activities tailored to Girl Scout age groups will encourage kids to think critically while sharpening their math skills. \n-Math Stations: Hands-on\, interactive math stations will provide an exciting way for families to explore and strengthen their math skills in a fun\, immersive setting. \nThe community is invited to stop by\, enjoy fun math activities​ blending brainpower and bite-sized treats in a way that makes math deliciously engaging​ while support​ing their local Girl Scout troop​. DESCRIPTION:On March 1\, 2025\, NFL kicker and all-time leading scorer of the Green Bay Packers Mason Crosby\, along with his wife\, Molly Crosby\, a lung cancer survivor\, will accept the prestigious Award of Excellence from Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation. \nThe foundation will honor the Crosbys at its 34th Award of Excellence Dinner on March 1 at the Pfister Hotel. The Award of Excellence recognizes individuals who capture legendary coach Vince Lombardi’s spirit of commitment and pursuit of excellence. Honorees have the same desire as the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation to prevent cancer\, provide the best care to those battling it\, and find a cure. \n“Molly and I are truly humbled and honored to accept the Vince Lombardi Award of Excellence from the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation\,” said Mason Crosby. “This recognition is not just a reflection of our personal journey with cancer\, but a testament to the incredible strength of those battling cancer every day. It is an honor to be listed amongst the previous recipients of this award.” \nTickets to the black-tie event and corporate sponsorships are available at lombardifoundation.org. \nAn individual ticket is $300 and a table of 10 is $3\,000. All tickets include dinner\, a Q&A with the Crosbys\, an open bar during the reception and complimentary valet parking.
