DESCRIPTION:Explore our universe and Asian cultural perspectives. We will have two planetarium shows featuring live indoor stargazing and a storyteller. In between the shows\, students from South Division High School will perform traditional Indian\, Karen\, and Lao cultural dances. Light refreshments will be served. This event is cosponsored by the Southeast Asian American Student Center and Sociocultural Programming at UWM. \nNot recommended for children under 4. For questions about this event\, please email planetarium@uwm.edu. \nPlease note that masks are currently required inside all University buildings\, including the planetarium\, regardless of vaccination status. \n

SUMMARY:Rooftop Stargazing
DESCRIPTION:Join us on the Skydeck at the UWM Physics building for free public stargazing. Gaze through telescopes at the night sky and view the Moon\, planets\, star clusters\, and other astronomical objects!\nThe Skydeck is located on the 5th floor of the Physics building. Follow the pink signs to take the elevator at the east end of the Physics building to the 3rd floor and continue left to the staircase that leads to the roof. Unfortunately\, the Skydeck is not wheelchair accessible. \nIn the event of inclement weather (cloudy skies\, temperature below 0° F)\, we will cancel this event. Check our website the day of the event before you visit.
