SUMMARY:Rooftop Stargazing
DESCRIPTION:Join us on the Skydeck at the UWM Physics building for free public stargazing. Gaze through telescopes at the night sky and view the Moon\, planets\, star clusters\, and other astronomical objects!\nThe Skydeck is located on the 5th floor of the Physics building. Follow the pink signs to take the elevator at the east end of the Physics building to the 3rd floor and continue left to the staircase that leads to the roof. Unfortunately\, the Skydeck is not wheelchair accessible. \nIn the event of inclement weather (cloudy skies\, temperature below 0° F)\, we will cancel this event. Check our website the day of the event before you visit. For questions\, please email planetarium@uwm.edu. \nPlease note that masks are currently required inside all University buildings\, including the planetarium\, regardless of vaccination status. \n

In this live\, interactive show\, we will travel to different cities near the equator to view vibrant landscapes\, cosmic night skies\, and ancient astronomical monuments. \nThe program will include an indoor stargazing session of the night sky followed by the opportunity to ask questions.
