DESCRIPTION:We love the Zoo in the winter! The big cats play in the snow\, the otters joyfully swim in their pool and the polar bear feels right at home. This February\, get ready for eight days of animals\, activities and auction items benefiting the Zoological Society of Milwaukee. Each day of the WILD Winter Auction\, we will reveal a family-friendly video or activity. Throughout the week\, be sure to bid on one of our amazing Zoo and animal-themed auction items. It’s the only place you can find these unique items\, so bid early and bid often! \nDonations will also be accepted at any time during the event. Proceeds will help the Zoological Society – a nonprofit organization with a mission to conserve\, educate and support the Milwaukee County Zoo. \nDonations are accepted when you first enter the auction. Auction items range in price from a few dollars to priceless. No matter if you have registered for an event with us before you must register again to bid on auction items. \n

SUMMARY:Virtual Downtown Bublr and Learn Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Join the Bublr Board on a ride around Downtown Milwaukee without leaving home! The ride starts at the Bublr station in Zeidler Union Square Park and heads over to Pere Marquette Park. For some Bublr facts and winter riding tips from Bublr Board Members Noel Kegel\, Mike Amsden\, and Rese Schneider. The ride continues on to Red Arrow Park – filled with ice skating and holiday lights for more Bublr facts and winter riding tips. Follow along as we head to Cathedral Square Park for a polar bear encounter and Bublr facts from Pa Sponcia\, a member of Bublr’s Executive Leadership Circle and Bublr co-founder Bruce Keyes. Finally\, we loop back around to Zeidler Union Square Park for concluding Bublr Facts from Bublr co-founder Barry Mainwood\, and Jeff Sponcia the only person to ride to every Bublr station in one continuous bike ride! \nLearn more about Bublr and how your donations support Greater Milwaukee’s nonprofit bikeshare operator. \nBublr launched in August of 2014 with 10 station and 49 bicycles. Today\, Bublr has more than 80 stations with 26 more on the way through a Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality grant awarded to the City of Milwaukee. On average\, Bublr has 85\,000 trips taken by 18\,000 unique riders each year. \nTickets are available through the Facebook event link. They are $4.99 now and go up to $9.99 on February 18th. \n

SUMMARY:Abstract Art with Silhouettes
DESCRIPTION:(For families) Join us for a day of connecting with your creativity to bring your silhouette to life! Learn a bit about abstract art and artists to get inspired for your creation. A hike in Three Bridges Park will give us nature’s inspiration. All materials will be provided for the program. We ask all participants to wear a face covering for the duration of the program. We will also require a health screening to be filled out by each participant. For the hike\, please bring appropriate outdoor gear to feel as comfortable as possible on the day of the program. \nRegistration is required for this program. Please register per individual\, children 3 and under are free. Adults up to $14. \n
