DESCRIPTION:Strangers On A…: Stories of Unforgettable Encounters: Creepy\, Magical\, Dangerous\, or Life-Changing \nEx Fabula StorySlams are live events where community members connect and share true\, personal stories related to the night’s theme\, told without props or notes. \nCome to listen – or throw your name in the hat for a chance to share a true story related to the theme of “Strangers On A…” This theme was inspired by the play Switzerland about famed crime novelist Patricia Highsmith\, author of Strangers on a Train. Switzerland is being performed by Renaissance Theaterworks October 19 – November 9\, 2025. \nAt the end of the night\, the audience votes by secret ballot to crown an Audience Favorite\, who will be invited to share a story at ALL STARS in May. \nThe audience can also be a part of the storytelling by submitting UltraShorts! These are “ultra-short” stories on the night’s theme that will be read onstage by the emcee. \nWant to practice your story before the slam? Join us for the StoryStarter workshop from 5:15-6:15pm right before the event! \nCost: $12 advance / $15 at the door if tickets remain.\nLimited Pay-it-forward tickets available! \n
