DESCRIPTION:Ex Fabula StorySlams are live events where community members connect and share true\, personal stories related to the night’s theme\, told without props or notes. Come just to listen – or throw your name in the hat for a chance to share a true story related to the theme ‘It’s About Time’. At the end of the night\, the audience votes by secret ballot to crown an *Audience Favorite. \nThe audience can also be a part of the storytelling by submitting UltraShorts! These are “ultra-short” stories on the night’s theme that will be read onstage by the emcee. \n*Audience Favorite: the storyteller voted audience favorite will be invited to tell another story at ALL STARS for the chance to be crowned Season Favorite. \nTickets are $10 in advance\, or $12 at the door. DESCRIPTION:Strangelander has been called a Milwaukee supergroup\, as it is comprised of leaders and members of notable bands including the Static Chicken\, De La Buena\, Amanda Huff\, You Win!!\, Tontine Ensemble\, November Criminals and more. If a genre must be applied to their music\, it might be Alternative World music. \nA renaissance man in the truest sense of the word\, musician/magician/actor Garrett Waite traverses many disciplines and mediums to provide original and life affirming experiences. A student of music driven by deep curiosity\, Garrett is comfortable in the realms of jazz\, folk\, rock\, avant-garde\, world music\, and more. Despite his eclectic leanings\, his music always retains a distinct melodicism and humanness that cut through no matter the musical setting. In 2022 he was an Artist in Residence at the historic Jazz Estate\, and currently runs a monthly jam session at Bar Centro. \nTickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door (advance tickets available until 3 p.m. day of show). Doors open at 6 p.m.\, and the show will begin at 7 p.m. \n
