The MKE Fine Craft Studio Tour is a self-guided\, open-studio tour showcasing nine Wisconsin Designer Crafts Council members with studios in Milwaukee County.  Each studio location will feature the work of the host artist along with several guest artists showing their unique handicrafts.  With nine different locations in the Milwaukee Area and more than 30 fine craft artists\, you’re sure to find something you love while exploring artist’s unique studios. \nCOVID-19 UPDATE: \nThe MKE Fine Craft Studio Tour will continue while observing CDC Guidelines such as social distancing and mandatory face masks. Hand sanitizer and face masks (for purchase) will be available. Some studio will be limiting guests and we suggest that all booths/rooms be occupied by less than 2 people or family groups at any given time.

Payton (Dreamgirls)\, Matt Rodin (Hedwig)\, Nicholas Rodriguez (Guys and Dolls)\, Bethany Thomas (Songs for Nobodies)\, Zonya Love (The Color Purple) and more. \n“While we can’t gather in person\, if there is one thing I know\, it’s that Milwaukee Rep can put on a show\, be it in-person or online\,” said Executive Director Chad Bauman. “I’m looking forward to gathering virtually with friends and supporters of a theater that we all hold dear and that needs support now more than ever before. It will be a night to remember\, honoring the past 10 years of Mark Clements tenure with some fantastic performances\, but ultimately looking toward the future to the time we can experience the magic of live theater collectively again.” \nDue to COVID-19 Milwaukee Rep has realized $1.5 million in lost revenue and anticipates an additional $6 million loss in 2020/21 due to limited capacities and fewer productions. 7 The theater has kept the full-time and seasonal employees on payroll since March utilizing reserves\, a PPP loan and the generous support from donors. However\, as of August 3\, Milwaukee Rep was forced to eliminate and furlough nearly half of the company. For those that remain\, all are working at reduced salary and benefits. For this reason\, the Curtain Call Ball will aid the emergency relief Rep Rising Campaign to help sustain artists\, staff and facilities during this enormous challenge.  Milwaukee Rep’s Board of Trustees will match all new and increased gifts dollar for dollar up to $500\,000 as part of the Rep Rising Campaign. \nThe 2020 Curtain Call is presented by Rockwell Automation with Co-Chairs Bryan and Becky House\, Joe and Katie Pickart and Stacy and Blair Williams.

DESCRIPTION:ART POP 2020! Yes! TAYLOR’S will be hosting the AIDS WALK WISCONSIN’S most intriguing art auction fundraiser again this year to support the “We-R-the-Strongest-Link” walking team. Because of the unusual times we are in\, the format of ART POP will be both in-person and online. The event will kick off as usual from 2:30 – 5 pm on Sunday October 18th at TAYLOR’S with all of the 7″ x 7″ art pieces hanging gallery-style. Artwork will remain hanging for three days with online bidding only. Final bids will be taken at 8 pm on Wednesday October 21st. Support the team by coming to TAYLOR’S on the 18th… There will be the customary entrance fee of $20 which can be applied “same as cash” to your online purchase -and get the free drink of your choice\, too! On-site purchase of blocks can be made at a set price. TAYLOR’S has been approved by the City of Milwaukee Health Department for full occupancy\, provided all social distancing and appropriate mask wearing is observed… we will take every measure to ensure that we provide a safe atmosphere for you to view the artwork (we’re hoping the extended online bidding will allow people to come and go easily without the usual crush of people at the end of the in-person event).
