DESCRIPTION:Guest House of Milwaukee’s Cream City Garden program started in 2009 with just five raised garden beds. Since then\, the gardens have grown to two acres with over 60 raised beds\, a fruit tree grove\, and a rain collection pavilion\, transforming a dilapidated and often overlooked corner of the King Park neighborhood into a lush garden and source for fresh produce for Guest House and its neighbors. Come see our newly renovated garden and help us kick off the 2025 growing season at this free community event. \n3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.: Stop by anytime to participate in one or more of the below activities\n4:30 p.m. – Garden Welcome & Short Program \n-Learn about the importance of the Cream City Community Garden.\n-Enjoy music and light snacks.\n-Plant veggies in some of our garden beds for the new season.\n-Tour Guest House to learn more about our important services.\n-Make sandwiches to help supply our Community Window.\n-Mingle with friends who care about our Milwaukee community. \nLearn more about Guest House at www.guesthouseofmilwaukee.org. \n
