SUMMARY:Gold Steps + When The Sun Sets + Mighty Vices + Lake Drive
DESCRIPTION:Join Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co. for an evening of live music featuring Gold Steps\, When the Sun Sets\, Mighty Vices and Lake Drive! \nGOLD STEPS: \nFew artists would consider leaving “live music capital of the world” Austin for the Midwest. Gold Steps not only chose that path–they’re thriving on it. After signing with indie label Revival Recordings in 2022\, the band set off on a new era of assertiveness\, lacing hook-laden\, brutal honesty with a more polished\, pop-forward sound. \nSharp-tongued anthems “Narcissist” and “Stay The Same” feature vocalist Betty Mauritz directing razor-sharp jabs at toxic targets. Self-empowerment and autonomy are central themes on their latest EP\, That Ain’t It\, as well as the band’s signature self-reflection and vulnerability\, best showcased on synthy apology track “Gatsby.” Mauritz describes\, “I’ve grown to appreciate the intensity of my emotions…how powerful my love\, my fury\, and my pain can be…it’s what makes us uniquely human.” \nWHEN THE SUN SETS: \nWhen The Sun Sets bridges the gap between modern and classic pop punk. With influence from bands like A Day To Remember\, Four Year Strong\, and Real Friends\, the Chicago-based band uses strong and relatable lyrics paired with driving riffs to bring the fun back into the genre. Whether you want a sing along\, emotional bridge\, or breakdown\, When The Sun Sets is the band that has you covered on all bases. \nNow independent\, the band is gearing up to release a full-length album amongst a string of singles. The release will feature artists such as: The Home Team\, 408\, Definitely Maybe\, and lolitslea to showcase some talented friends in the scene and displaying the next step in their songwriting. Their most recent EP “You + Me 4 Never” has yielded over 300\,000 streams on Spotify alone. \nMIGHTY VICES: \nHailing from the heartland\, Mighty Vices are your go-to band for good old-fashioned pop-punk anthems. Drawing inspiration from the genre’s legends\, they deliver a sound that’s equal parts nostalgic and fresh. \nThese guys aren’t just recycling past glories though. They bring their own unique twist\, ensuring their music feels raw\, relevant\, and ready to ignite the mosh pit. \nLAKE DRIVE: \nLake Drive is a 4-piece American Pop-Rock band from Milwaukee\, Wisconsin formed in 2023 by Rayven Burdette (vocals)\, Brandon Detaege (guitar)\, Trevor Gallagher (bass)\, and Adam Secord (drums). They’ve played venues all over the state including The Rave\, X-Ray Arcade\, and Cactus Club. An opening act for artists such as jxdn\,Sueco\, and LØLØ. Their debut EP ‘Post-Internet Romance’ features singles ‘Plus One’\, ‘ur so funny.’ and ‘Overrated’ \nTickets are $12 in advance or $15 day of show. \n
