DESCRIPTION:William Eddins (conductor\, pianist) brings to life Enrique Granados’ six-piece suite\, Goyescas\, a work rarely performed in its entirety. Based on artwork by Francisco Goya\, Goyescas tells the classic story of passion\, love\, and loss like an opera for piano. Mr. Eddins’ performance will capture this rich Spanish dance of life. \nImmersing the audience in turn of the century Spain are flamenco guitarists from Siempre Flamenco\, Meaghan Heinrichs’ wonderful storytelling of Goyescas\, Elena Abend (piano) and Orlando Pimentel (clarinet) performing Siete Canciones populares Españolas (“Seven Popular Spanish Songs”) and a sangria reception. \n
