If Not Winter combines Zoulek’s sound with the work of Milwaukee-based composers Amanda Schoofs and Nicholas Elert\, along with collaborations from special guest Chris Porterfield (Field Report) creating an emotionally-charged concert experience. \nIn If Not Winter\, recognizable melodies shift and circle back on themselves\, erasing ideas of beginnings and endings through athletic circular breathing\, intimate vocals\, and raw sonic tapestries on alto\, tenor\, and the towering bass saxophone. \nSensoria: Experiments in Sound and Performance celebrates its sixth season with Artistic Director Amanda Schoofs. The series is designed to spark dialogue within the community\, support new artistic collaborations\, and commission the creation of innovative works while promoting an expansive understanding of new music. Sensoria highlights original research\, creativity\, and experimental practices through live performance. \n
