DESCRIPTION:Join us for a masterclass with Grammy-award winning guitarist Bob Lanzetti (Snarky Puppy). This event is FREE and open to all ages and skill levels. Anyone with a passion for guitar-playing will find inspiration and enjoyment from this clinic. Feel free to bring your own guitar (or borrow one of ours!) to learn alongside Bob. \nBob Lanzetti is a Brooklyn\, NY based professional guitarist\, composer\, producer\, and educator. He has performed and recorded with many artists throughout the NYC area as well as played in over 40 countries with the three time Grammy® Award-Winning jazz/funk collective\, Snarky Puppy. As an educator Bob teaches music and guitar out of his Brooklyn studio\, has given clinics around the world\, and has worked in outreach programs through Carnegie Hall for underprivileged teens to write\, record\, and perform their own original music. \nThis masterclass is generously sponsored by D’Addario. \n

DESCRIPTION:Jan Serr will lead an Artist Talk on her newest body of work in The Warehouse’s current exhibition\, Jan Serr: A Painter’s Photographs of India. \nWith a decades long career exhibiting both nationally and internationally\, painter and printmaker Jan Serr presents a new body of work: her photographs. Having been behind the camera for many years\, Jan Serr: A Painter’s Photographs of India is Serr’s first solo exhibition dedicated to photography. By beast and by bus\, the artist purposefully and spontaneously composed photographs from northern and southern India that depict painterly scenes filled with vivid colors and quiet moments. Like the landscapes\, still lifes\, and portraits she paints\, Serr’s eye designs striking images through the lens of her camera. \nA graduate of the University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee\, where she received her BA and MFA in painting and drawing\, Serr studied with artists including John Colt and Schomer Lichtner. Best known for her paintings and prints\, Serr has exhibited with the Marlborough Godard Gallery in Canada\, the Rahr West Art Museum\, and the Museum of Wisconsin Art. Her work appears in the several collections including the Milwaukee Art Museum\, the Johnson Foundation\, and the Haggerty Museum of Art. \n
