SUMMARY:Plein Air Painting with Lynn Rix
DESCRIPTION:Learn the art of creating paintings en plein air (outside from life)\, capturing the atmosphere and light of a particular moment in time. The principles of value\, color\, and composition will be covered to help you create your own landscape paintings. The first two classes will start with a demo outside\, then move indoors where you will receive some basic knowledge. The final two classes will be held outside on the trails\, capturing nature in all its fall glory! \nInstructor Lynn Rix has a degree in education\, experience teaching in a Montessori school and has learned different teaching styles in various workshops. Lynn\, whose art has been shown at the Center\, has developed her own method of teaching painting to both beginners and more advanced students. \nThis class consists of four sessions:\nTuesday\, September 10 | 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.\nTuesday\, September 17 | 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.\nSaturday\, September 28 | 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.\nSaturday\, October 5 | 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. \nRegistrants will receive a supply list via email prior to the first session \nMember: $100 | Non-Member: $120 \n
