DESCRIPTION:Thinking about starting a business? A smart place to begin is at the free Business Incubator Workshop presented by Launch MKE and BizStarts. The two-hour event begins at 3 p.m. on Monday\, May 20\, at St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care-Bucyrus Campus\, 2450 W. North Ave. \nBudding entrepreneurs will learn how to evaluate a business idea or strengthen an existing business. Other topics will include identifying customers\, branding and messaging\, product and service distribution\, startup needs and costs. \n“The business incubator gives aspiring entrepreneurs the support they need for their idea and makes business ownership accessible to everyone\,” said Ald. Russell W. Stamper II\, chair of the Milwaukee Common Council’s Community and Economic Development Committee. “Ultimately\, this will help Milwaukee’s north side business community expand.” \nFollowing this introductory workshop\, participants will have access to BizStart’s coaches\, mentors and resource network and Launch MKE’s 10-week Business Academy. That program\, offering hands-on training in business planning and operations\, begins the week of June 10\, 2019 and meets Monday and Thursday evenings based on the number of participants. \nPre-registration for the Business Incubator Workshop is required\, and space is limited. SUMMARY:A Tribute to Barbara Cook
DESCRIPTION:Linda Stephens and David Bonofiglio at the piano. Stephens\, last seen on the Skylight stage as Florence Foster Jenkins in Souvenir\, performed alongside Broadway and cabaret legend Barbara Cook at the 2002 Kennedy Center Sondheim Celebration. Stephens created this concert to pay tribute to Cook who passed away in 2017. \nAdmission is $12\, which includes taxes and fees. Advance purchase is recommended. Seating is limited to 110 for Cabarets. Tickets are available at www.skylightmusictheatre.org/Cabaret or by visiting the Broadway Theatre Center Box Office at 158 N.
