DESCRIPTION:UW-Milwaukee geologist Dr. Lindsay McHenry will describe how scientists use Moon rocks to study the history of the solar system. Pending acquisition from NASA\, guests may be able to view actual pieces of the Moon brought back by an Apollo astronaut. \nThis free event is open to the public as part of the UWM Planetarium’s 50th Anniversary of the Apollo Moon Landing event series. \nThe event will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in room 260 of Lapham Hall\, located on the UW-Milwaukee campus at 3209 N. DESCRIPTION:Ex Fabula StorySlams strengthen community bonds by creating spaces where people can connect over true\, personal stories. No props\, no notes – just the elements of “Story. Stage. You”. This StorySlam will feature stories related to the theme of “Damaged Goods” \nYou can come just to listen – or\, if you have a story related to the night’s theme and can share it in 5 minutes or less\, throw your name in the hat for a chance to take the stage. Another way to share stories is via UltraShorts\, which are brief\, true personal stories written on slips of paper and then read onstage by the emcee. At the end of the night\, the audience votes and an Audience Favorite is crowned. \nPlease note that for Ex Fabula’s monthly StorySlams\, doors open at 6:30 p.m. and seating is General Admission. Stories may contain adult content and some venues are 21+. \n
