SUMMARY:East Side Milwaukee Garden Tour
DESCRIPTION:The sixth annual FREE Eastside Milwaukee Garden Tour\, presented by the Eastside Milwaukee Community Council\, will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday\, July 15. The tour will feature nearly 20 neighborhood gardens in the area east of the Milwaukee River bordered by North Avenue\, Lake Michigan\, and Edgewood Avenue. \nThe gardens have been designed by both professionals and homeowners\, some of whom are Master Gardeners\, showing our tour goers a variety of gardening styles and ideas for their own gardens. Conservation practices on view will include rain gardens and rain barrels. \nMaps will be available on the day of the tour at the Urban Ecology Center\, 1500 E. Park Place\, North Point Lighthouse\, 2650 N. Wahl Ave.\, and Downer Hardware\, 2629 N. Downer Ave. Master Gardeners will be available at the Lighthouse to answer gardening questions. \n
