SUMMARY:Milwaukee NARI Home & Remodeling Show
DESCRIPTION:The Milwaukee NARI Home & Remodeling Show will be held Fri.\, Oct. 7 – Sun.\, Oct. 9\, 2016\, at the State Fair Park Exposition Center in West Allis\, Wis. \nThe Show will provide attendees with an opportunity to meet with more than 100 Milwaukee NARI member exhibitors\, displaying the latest home improvement and remodeling products and services\, including design/build\, kitchens\, decks\, cabinets\, windows\, wall covering\, bathrooms\, lighting\, landscaping\, roofing\, painting\, fireplaces\, siding\, and more. \nIn addition\, there will be daily educational presentations and demonstrations by home improvement specialists\, including Melinda Myers\, on Fri.\, Oct. 7 at 2:30 p.m. The Show will also feature cooking competitions and chefs preparing their favorite recipes\, including former Green Bay Packer Leroy Butler on Sat.\, Oct. 8 at 1 p.m. \nSpecial attractions at the Show include the Interactive Smart Home Gallery\, a “Create and Take” area\, live music\, the Milwaukee NARI Show Information area\, a 50/50 cash raffle presented by the Milwaukee NARI Foundation. Inc.\, and much more. \nHours on Fri.\, Oct. 7 are 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.\, 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Sat.\, Oct. 8\, and on Sun.\, Oct. 9\, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Admission is $8 in advance\, and $10 at the door. Tickets for seniors\, 60 and older\, are $8\, while children 17 and younger and active and retired military personnel with military identification are admitted at no charge. \nMilwaukee NARI is an elite association of the best home improvement and remodeling professionals in the area and a trusted resource for consumers. DESCRIPTION:UWM Korean Professors Association and Korean American Association of Milwaukee are hosting the 2016 KOREA DAY Celebration on Friday\, October 7\, 2016\, 4:30-9:30pm at the Helen Zelazo Center for the Performing Arts. \nThe event includes various Korean cultural events such as Taekwondo demonstration\, K-Pop Dance\, Traditional Korean Percussion performance\, and Korean traditional painting exhibition. These performances will expose the rich Korean cultures and traditions to the UWM community and the area residents. \nYou will also have a chance to taste Korean food. \nThe highlight of the 2016 Korea Day celebration is the classical music concert. The UWM Symphony Orchestra\, under the direction of Jun Kim\, will present its season opener featuring award winning violinist Clara-Jumi Kang (Gold Medalist of the 2010 Indianapolis Violin Competition & Laureate of the 2015 Tchaikovsky Violin Competition)\, who will be performing the dazzling Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto in D major. \n
