DESCRIPTION:Milwaukee Rep’s limited engagement short-play festival is back for its 10th year. \nRep Lab will be an adaptation of Hamlet. One of the best-known works in Shakespeare’s cannon\, our Emerging Professional Residents bring a fast-paced 90-minute adaptation of the tale that asks: What are the bitter side effects of sweet revenge? This unique production will feature a different aesthetic for each of the five acts of the piece providing a full spectrum of styles for the Bard’s powerful words. The streamlined adaptation will highlight the onstage skills of our acting EPRs\, and the creativity of our artistic and production EPRs will be featured in the direction and design. Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Rep Lab with Hamlet — a unique capstone showcase of the talents of our 2019/20 class of Emerging Professional Residents. \n
