DESCRIPTION:Milwaukee’s holiday season truly begins with Thanksgiving and Present Music’s annual musical celebration. \nNovember 17th at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist\, come experience something new as Present Music’s Co-Artistic Directors David Bloom and Eric Segnitz continue the over twenty year long tradition of celebrating friendship and togetherness through a concert of beautiful music. \nThis year\, the program will continue several longtime traditions such as the massive community friendship dance led by The Bucks Native American Singing & Drumming Group\, angelic choral works reverberating throughout the immense Cathedral\, and features music by Reena Esmail\, Caroline Shaw\, Shelley Washington\, Cass Elliot (of the Mammas and the Papas) and teenage Milwaukee composer Lauren Barta\, an alumna of Present Music’s Creation Project student composition program! \nFor tickets and more information\, please visit http://presentmusic.org/thanksgiving-2019 \nPlease contact the Present Music Box Office for assistance with purchasing tickets. 414.271.0711×2 \n
